Kudus Residents Are Prohibited From Holding Celebrations, If The Bandel Will Be Disbanded

JAKARTA - Kudus Police in Central Java, reminded people in the local area not to hold celebrations that could invite crowds. If it is still carried out, the COVID-19 Task Force team is ready to disband the event.

"According to the Circular of the Kudus Regent number 360/1297/04.30/2021 concerning Micro PPKM for Controlling the Spread of COVID-19 in Kudus Regency, wedding receptions, celebrations and other similar activities should be canceled because they have the potential to cause crowds," said the Head of the Kudus Police, AKBP Aditya Surya Dharma, in Kudus, reported by Antara, Friday, June 4.

Even if you want to hold a marriage contract because it has already been scheduled, he said, please hold it in a limited manner only attended by the closest family and related officers.

He hoped that the public would understand the circular letter of the Kudus regent, and postpone the celebration or wedding reception. If there are people who are determined to hold a celebration, he said, it can be dissolved because many events have been disbanded for violating the health protocol.

This, he said, could be seen in Bae District where there were three weddings which were dissolved on Thursday, June 3.

In its implementation, it was recorded that it violated the COVID-19 health protocol and the Kudus Regent's SE which prohibited wedding receptions, celebrations and the like.

The three locations for the celebrations that were disbanded were Ngembalrejo Village, Gondangmanis Village and Bae Village.

Before the Bae Sub-district COVID-19 Task Force Team from the police, TNI, and Bae Sub-district Trantib disbanded the event, giving the organizers 15 minutes to disperse the celebration.

Owners of food stalls, stalls, street vendors and restaurants were also asked not to serve meals on the spot and the closure of tourist sites in Kudus Regency.
