KPK Opens Vacancies For Spokesperson And Four Other Positions

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) opens the selection for five positions currently held by the executor of duty. The five positions are Director of Investigation, Director of Information and Data Processing, Director of Public Complaints, and Spokesperson.

"All positions that are still vacant or temporarily held by the Acting (acting duty) will be selected to fill them," KPK deputy chairman Nurul Ghufron told reporters on Friday, May 8.

Regarding the timing of the selection, Ghufron said that this would later be regulated by the division in charge of human resources (HR) at the KPK. But certainly, his party wants vacant positions to be filled immediately.

"In principle, we want this (position) to be filled with procedures and conditions according to the provisions. We only understand that the constraints of COVID-19 have many limitations," he explained.

This selection, said Ghufron, will apply to those who meet the requirements. Later, the general public can also register for positions that do not have to come from ministerial agencies or other state institutions.

However, Ghufron did not elaborate on which positions do not have to come from government agencies. "Applies generally that meet the requirements. There are positions that must be civil servants and some are not," he said.

Previously, the KPK had appointed four people to fill the positions as Deputy for Enforcement, Deputy for Information and Data, Director of Investigation, and Head of the Legal Bureau.

From the selection results, the Corruption Eradication Commission then appointed a Deputy for Enforcement, namely the former Deputy of Regional Police for the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Brigadier General Karyoto, Deputy for Information and Data Mochamad Hadiyana, Head of the Legal Bureau, namely Ahmad Burhanudin.

In addition, the Corruption Eradication Commission also appointed Head of Sub-Directorate II of the Directorate of General Crimes, Bareskrim Polri Kombes Endar Priantoro as Director of Investigation.

Meanwhile, the position of spokesman for the KPK, since being left by Febri Diansyah, who is now the Head of the Public Relations Bureau, is now filled by two people. They are Ali Fikri who serves as Acting Spokesperson for enforcement and Ipi Maryati who serves as Acting Spokesperson for Prevention.
