KPK Determines the Fate of the Regent of Pekalongan and Dozens of People who were Caught in OTT Tonight

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will hold a trial or forum expose tonight, March 3. The status of 14 people who were caught in the hand-catching operation (OTT), including the Regent of Pekalongan Fadia Arafiq, will be determined immediately.

"Tonight it will only be exposed," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 3.

Fadia was first taken to the KPK office along with two other people, namely his confidant and aide.

Then, 11 people were also secured after the KPK conducted an examination in Pekalongan Regency, Central Java. One of them is the Regent of Pekalongan Regency, H. M. Yulian Akbar.

This silent operation is suspected to be related to the procurement of outsourcing personnel in the Pekalongan Regency area. However, Budi did not want to elaborate further.

"Regarding the reason for the case, we will update later," he said.

"Because tonight only an expose will be carried out. We will expose how the construction and also the chronology of the event were caught in the closed smuggling this time," continued Budi.

The KPK previously said that it also examined a number of parties in Pekalongan Regency, Central Java. Meanwhile, the Regent of Pekalongan Fadia Arafiq was taken by officers while in Semarang City, Central Java with his trusted people and aides.
