Hybrid is Getting More Popular, Toyota Has 2,793 SPK at IIMS 2026

JAKARTA - PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) recorded positive booking during the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026, which took place at Jiexpo Kemayoran.

Toyota recorded 2,793 SPK orders with the contribution of the New Veloz Hybrid EV directly placing it in second place with 381 SPK, while the New Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid EV again led with 615 SPK.

The 'Hybrid EV for All' program has succeeded in expanding the choice of electrified vehicles (xEV) at increasingly affordable prices, while providing the right mobility solution for Indonesian families in various regions.

Vice President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Henry Tanoto, said the company greatly appreciates the trust of Toyota's loyal customers and all visitors to IIMS 2026.

"In the midst of a market that tends to stagnate, people still choose Toyota as a reliable mobility solution. This is evident from the overwhelmingly positive response to Toyota's latest electrification solution, which is prepared for more people," he said in an official statement received, Monday, February 23.

"With orders of more than 5,000 units just 3 months after the world premiere, the New Veloz Hybrid EV once again shows its popularity with 381 SPK at IIMS 2026. In line with the Hybrid EV for All initiative, the collaboration of the entire Toyota Hybrid EV line-up managed to record 42.6 percent of the total 2,793 SPK," he added.

Toyota Hybrid models are still the favorite choice of the Indonesian people. This is evidenced by the increase in orders this time which increased to 42.6 percent of the total Toyota SPK at IIMS.

The Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid EV is still the most sought-after model with a total of 615 SPKs. Followed by New Comer, New Veloz Hybrid EV with 381 SPKs. In addition to these two models, other flagship MPV ranges such as the Kijang Innova with 309 SPKs, Avanza 306 SPKs, and Calya 259 SPKs are also included in the top five best-selling Toyota models list at IIMS 2026.

This achievement proves that Toyota models with Quality, Durability, and Reliability (QDR) that have been recognized by customers from generation to generation, are able to meet the mobility needs of the Indonesian people consistently and sustainably.
