JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto received 12 heads of major global companies to strengthen strategic investment partnerships in a meeting that took place in Washington DC, United States (US), on Friday, February 20, 2026 local time.

The Minister of Investment and Industrialization who is also the Chief Operating Officer (CEO) of BPI Danantara Rosan Roeslani explained that the 12 companies present had a total assets under management or asset under management of US $ 16 trillion (approximately Rp. 270 trillion)

"We just finished the session where the President met directly with 12 of the largest investment companies in the world, there are 12 with a total of approximately if the assets under management are collected it is 16 trillion US dollars," said Rosan, quoting Antara.

Rosan said the meeting lasted almost two hours and discussed various things, including Indonesia's steps in improving the investment climate, economic and political stability, and the direction of future policies.

In the forum, each company submitted input regarding policy consistency, law enforcement, capital market development, and various measurable risks that need to be considered.

A number of sectors that are the focus of potential cooperation include technology, renewable energy, infrastructure, real estate, digital economy, and entrepreneurship development.

"The discussion was very fruitful, very productive," he said.

Rosan said Danantara continued to carry out intensive communication to discuss the potential for further cooperation with global investors. Danantara's presence is seen as a local partner that provides comfort and confidence for international companies to invest.

"Indeed, if you look at it so far, these largest investment companies may not have, if I say they have not been optimally developed. They invest more in other countries," said Rosan.

"It so happens that with the presence of Danantara, they also have the potential to be local partners of Danantara and that gives comfort and confidence as well because we can invest together not only in Indonesia but also outside Indonesia," he added.

BPI Danantara Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Pandu Sjahrir added that investor interest to invest and collaborate continues to increase, including exploring the opening of a direct representative office in Indonesia.

Pandu said that discussions with 12 major world companies had led to concrete partnerships that would be announced at the right time.

"So all of this we haven't announced, but this is all a partnership that we will mention in due course," he said.

Furthermore, Pandu said that company executives were present from various regions, ranging from Los Angeles, New York, London, to the European region to meet directly and discuss with the President.

Neither Rosan nor Pandu explained in detail the 12 companies that met with President Prabowo. They only mentioned several investors, including the majority owners of sports clubs Chelsea, Los Angeles Lakers, and Los Angeles Dodgers, as well as major investors in leading artificial intelligence (AI) research company OpenAI.

"One of them is that there is a majority owner of Chelsea, the Lakers also have the Dodgers. And he promised to bring the Chelsea and Lakers clubs to Indonesia for yes cooperation and to do the match," said Rosan.

"One of them is one of the largest investors in Open AI. They said how can Open AI also be used by our sector to increase efficiency," said Pandu.

Rosan said President Prabowo appreciated the direct presence of the CEOs and presidents of leading companies who showed their confidence in the investment climate in the country.

"The President also appreciates it very much, he is happy because those who come are really CEOs, the level of CEOs or presidents directly. And we are also happy because that is what really comes. So it's not level two, but really level one," he concluded.
