Soroti Police Network for Narcotics in the Back of the Ethics Trial of the Former Bima Police Chief
JAKARTA - The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) directly oversees the hearing of the Code of Ethics and Profession Commission (KKEP) of the former Bima City Police Chief, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, at the TNCC building of the National Police Headquarters, Thursday, February 19, 2026, regarding the case of drug abuse.
Kompolnas Commissioner, Muhammad Choirul Anam or who is familiarly called Cak Anam, said his party was invited to carry out supervision to ensure that the process was transparent and professional.
"Today's ethics trial is trying the former Bima Police Chief. We hope that this trial will be in line with the commitment of the police that this case is not covered. At the same time, the criminal mechanism is also running, there is even a determination of suspects," Anam told the media, at the TNCC building, National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Thursday, February 19, 2026.
According to Anam, the most important thing in the ethics trial is to reveal the character, description, and possible involvement of a wider drug network.
"Fighting drugs is fighting the network. It is impossible for drugs to be marketed massively and used massively if there is no network," he said.
He emphasized that disclosure of the origin of evidence and the parties involved is the key to eradicating narcotics.
"If the investigation at the internal level is not optimal, then the investigators of the Criminal Investigation Unit are expected to investigate further," he said.
In addition, Kompolnas also appreciated the quick steps of the Propam Division of the National Police since the beginning of the case. According to Anam. the deepening by Paminal until it continued to the ethics hearing was considered as a form of institutional commitment in handling the case seriously.
Regarding the sanctions, Anam assessed that the potential for Dismissal Without Honor (PTDH) against the person concerned was quite large.
"If you look at the pattern and character of the case, the potential for PTDH is very large. But we have to see the process. We are confident that with this fast and in-depth process, the sanctions taken will be maximum," he said.
Kompolnas also reminded that drug eradication is a national priority program and is a serious concern for the community.
"In this very good moment, show that the police are working to the maximum and professionally to fight drugs," he concluded.
