PAM Jaya Women's Power and WCR Educate Mothers in Jakut, Emphasize Nutrition and Access to Clean Water to Prevent Stunting

PAM Jaya Women's Power together with Women and Children Resilience (WCR) held an Intelligent Nutrition and Water Resilience Education activity in North Jakarta as part of efforts to prevent stunting.

This program targets mothers who are members of the TP PKK, Dasawisma, and Posyandu cadres in three locations, namely the Semper Timur Village Office Hall, Penjaringan Village, and Rorotan Village.

The Chairperson of Women and Children Resilience (WCR), Margaretha Hanita, said the sustainability of this program was monitored seriously because it was directly related to the quality of future generations.

"The next generation is in a very decisive golden age. We certainly hope that children grow with positive support, both in terms of nutrition, environment, and parenting patterns. Education to a mother is a very important starting point, because that's where the quality of the future generation is formed, which will ultimately affect the direction of the nation in the future," said Hanita in his statement, Thursday, February 18.

The first activity was held at the Semper Timur Village Office Hall on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The event was also attended by the Head of Semper Timur, the Head of the PAM JAYA Women's Power, and the Director of WCR.

In the education session, participants were given an understanding of the concept of smart nutrition, especially the importance of early animal protein intake to support physical growth and brain development of children. In addition to the nutritional aspect, the organizers also emphasized the importance of sanitation and water resilience as an inseparable part of stunting prevention.

Access to clean water is considered the foundation of a healthy environment so that children are free from infectious diseases that can inhibit the absorption of nutrients.

PAM Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin, said the involvement of PAM Jaya Women's Power was part of a closer approach to families.

"Efforts to reduce stunting cannot be done alone and cannot be done through only one approach. Through the role of PAM Jaya Women's Power, we want to be closer to mothers, share knowledge about nutrition and the importance of clean water, because from families the future of Jakarta children is formed," said Arief.

This education program is part of PAM Jaya's commitment to supporting the acceleration program for stunting reduction which has been running since 2023.

In 2023, interventions were carried out for 409 children in 39 villages. The following year, the number increased to 1,129 children in 36 villages. Meanwhile, in 2025, the program is focused on North Jakarta and East Jakarta, including the provision of additional food, monitoring, education for pregnant women and premarital couples, to the distribution of free water towers.
