MEDAN - Delitua Police have arrested a man with the initials SS (30), a resident of Jalan Selambo, Medan Amplas, North Sumatra, who abused his wife, Nur Hasanah (28). The perpetrator brutally abused his wife using a stainless bowl.

Delitua Police Chief Kompol Zulkifli Harahap said the victim's face was bruised as a result of the abuse.

This Domestic Violence (KDRT) incident occurred at the victim's residence, Gedung Johor Sub-district, Medan Johor District, on Tuesday, April 27. At that time, the suspect came to Hasanah's house, asking to live with her at her house.

"However, the suspect's request was rejected by the victim, and in return asked her husband to stay at his house in Medan Johor," said Kompol Zulkifli, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 1.

Zulkifli said that the reason for the victim was because she had just given birth, and asked that later in August 2021 the suspect would stay at her house.

The suspect refused and became emotional and then slammed a stainless bowl until it hit the victim's left eye with a bruise. The victim then complained to the Delitua Police Headquarters.

"After more than a month on the run, the suspect was finally arrested at his workplace at the Joska Town House housing marketing office, Jalan Sidodadi, Deli Serdang Regency. The suspect admitted that he had beaten his wife," he said.
