Deputy Komdigi Nezar Patria said that the implementation of this system is part of the government's priority in securing the digital space. Over the past six months, the system has managed to detect more than 2 billion malicious calls and messages.
On average, there are more than 33 million customers protected from potential fraud every day. This potential fraud has also been recorded to increase as cybercrime based on calls, messages, and phishing or malicious links develops.
"This connected and growing digital space must be safe. We cannot allow people to live in anxiety while doing activities in the digital world," said Nezar while attending the event Fighting Spam and Scams: Solving Real Problems, Delivering Real Impact, quoted on Saturday, February 7.
In addition to the tightened security system, public participation has also increased. To date, there are more than 2.5 million active customers who report suspicious content. This collaboration between service providers and the community is considered to be the main key in combating digital crime.
