NTB Police Files Brigadir Rizka's Violation of Ethics Related to the Murder

West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police tried the ethics violation of Brigadier Rizka Sintiani related to involvement in the murder of her husband, Brigadier Esco Faska Rely.

Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Mohammad Kholid, said that the violation of ethics was held through a hearing of the National Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).

"So, there is no verdict, it is still a trial, just waiting for the results, we will convey it later," he said as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 28.

By stating this, Kholid emphasized that there has been no application of ethical sanctions for Brigadier Rizka's actions in the murder of her husband.

"For sanctions (PTDH) not yet, we will wait," he said.

Kholid also said that his party was also monitoring this case, which he knew had just entered the court. The first hearing with the agenda of reading the indictment from the public prosecutor will be held on Tuesday (10/2).

"That is also what the court is doing, we are monitoring," he said.

The spokesperson for the Mataram District Court, Kelik Trimargo, previously stated that the Head of the Mataram District Court had issued the first court agenda for the murder case of Brigadier Esco Faska Rely after receiving the transfer from the prosecutor.

From the determination, the court issued a trial agenda for the defendant Brigadier General Rizka Sintiani along with four other defendants who are still close relatives.

The four other defendants are in one case register. They are Saiun alias H. Saiun, Nuraini alias Hj. Nur, Paozi alias Ujik, and Dani Rifkan.

Based on information accessed through the Mataram District Court's Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) website, there are seven public prosecutors who are listed to accompany this case in the trial.

They are Muthmainnah, Baiq Sri Saptianingsih, Ni Made Saptini, Danny Curia Novitawan, Adda'watul Islamiyyah, and I Nyoman Sugiartha.

The prosecutor referred this case to court for the follow-up of the implementation of the second phase or the surrender of five suspects and evidence from the police investigators on Tuesday (13/1).

The follow-up to the second phase, the public prosecutor submitted the detention of the five suspects to two different locations. For the women in the Mataram Class III Women's Prison and the men in the West Lombok Class IIA Prison.

The five suspects who are now defendants are charged with different criminal articles. For Brigadier Rizka Sintiani, Article 44 paragraph (3) of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Violence in the Family (PKDRT) and/or Article 459 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code and/or Article 338 of the Criminal Code.

For the other four, Article 459 in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code and/or Article 458 paragraph (1) jo. Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code and/or Article 181 of the Criminal Code jo. Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.
