Bye-bye Prabowo Subianto! The Slate Agreement With Megawati Has Ended

JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto affirmed that the slate agreement made by PDIP General Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri and Gerindra Party Chairperson Prabowo Subianto was completed in the 2009 Election.

"If the slate agreement meant in the political context of Prabowo and Bu Mega for the General Election has been completed in 2009," said Hasto in an online discussion on PARA Syndicate in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Friday, May 28.

Hasto explained the conditions for the slate agreement were not fulfilled because it was proven that the Megawati-Prabowo pair lost in the 2009 elections.

Hasto also insinuated the existence of internal conflict within the Democratic Party, which raised voices claiming that the 2009 election victory was fraught with manipulation.

"Politics means that power must be obtained in the right way," said Hasto.

The PDI Perjuangan, said Hasto, strongly believes that power obtained by improper means will bring political karma and inner and outer pain.

"In the PDI Perjuangan office we wrote, Satyameva Jayate where in the end the truth will definitely win," said Hasto.

The slate agreement is an agreement between Megawati and Prabowo when they were paired in the 2009 presidential election which was signed in the Batu Tulis area, Bogor.

There are seven points of agreement in the agreement. One of them is Megawati Soekarnoputri, who supported Prabowo Subianto's candidacy as a Presidential Candidate in the 2014 Election.
