Aceh Deputy Governor Suggests Rp450 Thousand/Month of Lauk-pauk Money to Be Disbursed Before Occupying Huntara

BANDA ACEH - Deputy Governor of Aceh Fadhlullah proposed that the money for fish and meat allocated for flood and landslide victims in the area be given to them before occupying temporary housing (huntara).

"We propose that the money for the victims of the disaster can be prioritized for those who are currently still staying in the evacuation tent," he said in Banda Aceh, Tuesday, January 6, reported by ANTARA.

He conveyed this in a virtual meeting led by the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, which was attended by the Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), the Secretary of Aceh M Nasir, and the Governor of North Sumatra Bobby Nasution.

The Deputy Governor of Aceh explained that the assistance of Rp. 15 thousand per person per day or the equivalent of Rp. 450 thousand per month needs to be prioritized for those who are currently still displaced according to the data that has been available.

"This assistance will certainly help meet their daily needs, considering that property is also lost due to floods and landslides," he said.

He hopes that the central government will consider the proposal for three months of food according to the number of family members that can be distributed.

In the strategic meeting, the Aceh Government also proposed a comprehensive assistance scheme for affected residents, namely heads of households whose houses were severely damaged or lost and were lightly receiving money to fill their houses.

"I also explained that the money to replace the furniture also needs to be proposed by the local government for lightly damaged houses, because the furniture is also damaged following the water also enters the house," he said.

In addition, Rp5 million economic recovery money must also be given to all flood and landslide victims according to data from each district/city.

Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf stated that his party would immediately conduct an in-depth study of the Aceh Government's proposal.

He emphasized that data accuracy is the key to distributing assistance.

"We will study it first. Of course, the assistance will be distributed by name by address to ensure that everything is targeted to those who really need it," he said.
