JAKARTA - The Liga 4 club from Pasuruan, PS Putra Jaya, took firm action regarding the incident involving its player, Muhammad Hilmi Gimnastiar. The club chose to dismiss Hilmi from the team.

The decision was taken following the incident where Hilmi brutally kicked his opponent in the chest when facing Perseta 1970 Tulungagung. The incident occurred in the PSSI East Java (Jatim) League 4 competition at the Gelora Bangkalan Stadium, Monday, January 5, 2026.

The match went viral on social media because of Hilmi's unseemly action who made a brutal kick to Firman Nugraha's chest from Perseta in the middle of the match. The incident occurred when the two players were about to fight for the ball in the middle of the field.

Instead of picking up the ball, Hilmi chose to do a 'kungfu kick' to Firman's chest. After the incident received sharp criticism from the public, PS Putra Jaya fired Hilmi.
