YouTuber Ferdian Paleka Could Be Charged With The ITE Law

JAKARTA - YouTuber Ferdian Paleka and his friend could be charged with the ITE law for fraud against transgender women in Bandung yesterday. The fraud carried out by Ferdian was distributing fake groceries.

"We are still investigating, (It could be imposed, red) the ITE law," said Bandung Police Chief Kombes Ulung Sampurna Jaya in Bandung Monday, May 4.

His party regretted the action carried out by the YouTuber. Of course, they use social media wisely. For example, an appeal or invitation to the public to stay at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This incident began when Ferdian created prank content which he aimed at transgender women by distributing groceries. However, in fact it is not basic food. Instead, trash to rocks is put into boxes of instant noodles which are then distributed to transgender women who are found on the streets.

Ferdian's prank action then went viral on social media. Many people then gave various comments regarding the actions taken by the YouTuber.

Ferdian's action also drew criticism and sparked public emotions. In fact, a number of people also came to Ferdian's residence. However, until now, the police are still looking for Ferdian's whereabouts. It is known, in fact, Ferdian has been reported to the police for his prank act of providing fake groceries.
