DKI Satpol PP Prepares Personnel Ahead of Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Police (Satpol PP) held a readiness call for security ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations. The call for troops was centered on the south side of Monas, Central Jakarta.
Apel was led directly by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP, Satriadi Gunawan. This activity was carried out to ensure the readiness of personnel to face the increase in community activities during the end-of-year holiday period.
Satriadi said that the Christmas and New Year moments were often followed by a surge in citizen mobility, religious activities, and crowds in public spaces. This condition requires the readiness of the police so that the situation in Jakarta remains safe and conducive.
"Our task is not only to supervise the crowd and help regulate traffic, but also to provide a sense of security for people who carry out worship. In addition, we are also expected to be able to detect potential disturbances of security, peace and order and anticipate any threats that may arise," said Satriadi in the Monas area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 18.
He emphasized the importance of carrying out professional duties with a humanistic approach. Satriadi asked the Satpol PP ranks to prioritize persuasive and preventive steps, without neglecting firmness in accordance with applicable rules.
Satriadi also reminded the aspect of readiness of personnel in the field, ranging from physical condition to coordination between teams. According to him, these factors determine the effectiveness of security during the Nataru period.
"I also remind all personnel to always maintain health, safety, and cohesiveness, and always comply with standard operating procedures in every task in the field," he said.
