Grogol Resident Arrested by Police for Distributing Drugs, 5 Packages of Methamphetamine Seized

JAKARTA - A drug dealer with the initials ADR was arrested by the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Port Police in his apartment in Grogol area, West Jakarta.

"The team immediately arrested the suspect ADR, a man born in Jakarta, who is suspected of playing a role as a drug dealer," said Head of Narcotics Investigation at the Tanjung Priok Port Police, AKP Trendy Habibi Aryanto when confirmed, Saturday, December 13.

The arrest of the perpetrator began from information regarding the circulation of methamphetamine controlled by someone with the initials R and B.

After surveillance and undercover, officers confirmed that the target was in a boarding house in the Kalianyar area, Grogol, West Jakarta.

During the search, officers found evidence in the form of 5 (five) plastic clip packages containing narcotics of the type of crystal methamphetamine with a total weight of 38.58 grams brutto and 1 mobile phone unit used as a means of communication.

"The results of the interrogation revealed that the suspect obtained the methamphetamine from someone named RH (DPO) with a total of 100 grams to be distributed," he said.

AKP Trendy Habibi explained that the suspect also admitted that he had distributed methamphetamine according to the DPO's instructions with the aim of making a profit and being able to consume methamphetamine for free.

"The suspect and evidence are currently at the Tanjung Priok Port Police for further examination and conducting the investigation process," he said.

The Tanjung Priok Port Police will continue to hunt down other dealer networks involved in this case.
