To Better Protect Teachers, Bogor DPRD Commits to Overseeing Bylaw Implementation
BOGOR - The Bogor City DPRD reiterated its commitment to improving the welfare of teachers through the birth of the Regional Regulation (Perda) on the Protection of Teachers which was passed in the plenary meeting on November 12, 2025. This effort received an appreciation from the West Java level through the Award for Policy Innovation for the Protection of Teachers in the detikJabar Awards 2025 which was held at the Salak Heritage Hotel, Wednesday, October 10.
The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, stated that the award was an important reminder for his agency to continue to produce policies that are in the public interest.
"This award is meaningless if the regulation we have formed cannot be implemented in its entirety. Therefore, we are committed to working with the Bogor City Government to implement this rule for a better education ecosystem in Bogor City," said Adit in his statement, Friday, December 12.
Adit explained that the birth of the Teacher Protection Regulation was driven by concern for the condition of some teachers who still face high workloads but do not receive adequate protection.
"Don't let there be any more teachers like Oemar Bakri in Iwan Fals' song - his duties pile up, his responsibilities are big, but his rights are not protected," he said.

According to Adit, teachers are national heroes who must be given a mark of service through policies that guarantee the right to income, health, profession, and other aspects of protection. He added that the existence of the Regulation is also in line with the vision of the Bogor City Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD) towards a Creative, Advanced, and Sustainable City of Science.
Adit also appreciated the holding of the 2025 detikJabar Awards, which he considered to be part of the public oversight function through the media.
"We hope that the supervision, criticism, and appreciation of the media can encourage the birth of better policies in the future," he said.
The 2025 detikJabar Awards is an appreciation event for figures, communities, institutions, and programs in West Java that are considered inspiring, innovative, creative, and have an impact on society. There are five award categories, namely the Award for Praised Development Innovation, the Award for Praised Economic Program, the Award for Leading Institutions/Movers, the Award for Accelerator Figures, and the Adiluhung Award.
