Audience With Pati Residents, KPK Explains Sitting In Cases Of DJKA That Dragged Regent Sudewo

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) again has an audience with representatives of the residents of Pati Regency who demanded that their regent, Sudewo, be immediately named a suspect in the case of building a railway line at the Director General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the hearing was held at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 12. The activity took place effectively.

"Today, the KPK has again received an audience from representatives of Pati residents who are members of the United Pati Community Alliance," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday night, December 12.

Budi revealed that during the meeting, Pati residents asked for the DJKA case which allegedly dragged Sudewo to be thoroughly investigated. Meanwhile, the KPK, he continued, again explained the situation and the ongoing process.

"Previously we had summoned the brother of SDW who currently serves as Regent of Pati," he said.

"Where in the case of alleged corruption in the procurement of goods and services, especially related to the construction of the railway line, the capacity of the SDW brother was when he was a member of the DPR who was a partner of the Ministry of Transportation," continued Budi.

Furthermore, Budi also explained the continuation of the DJKA bribery case which is still focused on combing the involvement of a number of parties. Moreover, the KPK has just named and detained the suspect from a project in the Medan area.

"Because indeed this is from a number of points related to each other to condition the vendors who will hold or carry out projects at these points, which later we will link," he explained.

"What kind of monitoring is, what kind of flow of orders from above, and of course also the flow of money. We will trace to anyone, the alleged flow of money from this project flows," continued Budi.

As previously reported, the KPK has examined the Regent of Pati Sudewa alias Sudewo as a witness in the DJKA bribery case at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on August 27. Later, Deputy for Enforcement Asep Guntur Rahayu conveyed the alleged former member of the DPR RI played on a number of projects.

However, investigators are still looking for further evidence regarding Sudewo's involvement.

"Given that the person concerned is in several cases, so we are gathering evidence for all related cases," Asep told reporters quoted Monday, September 8.

Asep said that Sudewo was suspected of playing in the construction of the railway line on the Solo Balapan-Kadipiro railway line, Tegal-Semarang section, Cianjur-Bogor section; East Java railway section; Sumatra railway line; and train section in Sulawesi. God willing, in time it will reach the person concerned," he said at the time.
