Become A New Suspect, 3 Ministry Of Manpower Officials Allegedly Participate In Enjoying Extortion Money For K3 Certification

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named three new suspects in the alleged extortion case in the management of work safety and health certification (K3) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker). They are suspected of enjoying the flow of money.

The three suspects are Chairul Fadly Harahap as Secretary of the Directorate General of Manpower and Safety Supervision of Manpower (Binwasnaker and K3) of the Ministry of Manpower; Haiyani Rumondang as Director General (Dirjen) of Manpower and K3 Supervision; and Sunardi Manampiar Sinaga as the former Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Manpower.

"Among them (there is a flow of money extorting K3 certification, ed)," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Friday, December 12.

Budi said the findings were obtained after investigators examined a number of witnesses and suspects who had already been determined. "There, investigators will investigate where the flow of the alleged extortion act is in the management of K3 certification," he said.

This includes the flow of orders related to the alleged extortion. Therefore, in the development of this investigation, the KPK then named the three new suspects.

Currently, all three have been prevented from leaving the country for six months after being named suspects. The travel ban has been in effect since December 5.

The name named as a suspect has also been investigated by the KPK. One of them was Haiyani Rumondang who was questioned on Friday, October 10.

At that time he was being questioned regarding the flow of money for managing K3 certification. For information, Haiyani is said to have received Rp50 million per week and this was revealed by the KPK when announcing the determination of the suspect former Wamenaker Immanuel Ebenezer who was caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) some time ago.

Previously reported, the KPK named 11 suspects in connection with the alleged extortion of handling work safety and health certificates (K3). This determination began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) that arrested 14 people, including the Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel Ebenezer.

The following is a list of suspects named by the KPK:

This gift is said to have come from Irvian, who was called Immanuel as the sultan because he was considered the richest person in the Ministry of Manpower.

In addition, Immanuel Ebenezer, also called the KPK, has acknowledged that there have been receipts during his tenure apart from the extortion of K3 certification from the Ministry of Manpower. This statement was made by the KPK after finding three other cars, namely Mercedes Benz, Land Cruiser, and BAIC which had been hidden from their official residence after OTT.
