Latest News From King Charles III Against Cancer Announced Today

JAKARTA - King Charles III, who is battling cancer, will provide the latest news about his health condition in a video recording today, Friday 12 December.

British PA news agency reported Charles, 77, recorded the video over the past week of November inwah House, his residence in London.

Celebrity fundraising and helping hand has been going on ahead of Charles' announcement schedule today.

The footage is planned to be broadcasted at 20.00 local time on Channel 4 as part of the 'Stand Up to Cancer' show, a campaign supported by the channel and Cancer Research UK.

Charles at the event is expected to emphasize the importance of the screening program for early diagnosis of the disease. However, Buckingham Palace declined to comment when contacted by AFP.

Charles announced in February 2024 that he had cancer. The cancer was detected while he was undergoing prostate surgery.

He then suspended his public duties for several weeks before proceeding back in April. Since then, he has been undergoing treatment.

Earlier this year, Charles said cancer diagnosis was "a frightening and sometimes terrible experience."

Charles is known to have increased his activity over the past year, made several royal visits in the UK as well as trips to Canada and the Vatican.

He was hospitalized in March after experiencing a "side effect" of cancer treatment.
