DPRD Urges Provincial Government To Take Full Responsibility Of Trauma Healing Victims Hit By MBG Car At SDN Cilincing
JAKARTA - Member of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Jhonny Simanjuntak, asked the DKI Provincial Government to provide comprehensive handling of students who were victims of the car accident carrying free nutritious food (MGB) at SDN Kalibaru 01 Pagi, Cilincing, North Jakarta.
According to Jhonny, the government's attention should not stop at medical treatment. He emphasized the importance of psychological assistance for students who were traumatized by the incident.
"We hope that the DKI Provincial Government, especially the Education Office and the Health Office, will pay full attention. After the incident, when the students have recovered physically, there must be special assistance, in collaboration with related parties, for trauma healing," Jhonny told reporters, Friday, December 12.
Based on his visit to the regional public hospital (RSUD) where the victim is being treated, Jhonny said a number of children undergoing treatment were seen experiencing psychological impacts even though they only suffered minor injuries.
"At Cilincing Hospital alone, those who only experience abrasions look confused and empty. Moreover, the wound is heavier. So psychological assistance is mandatory. All financing must be borne by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," explained Jhony.
Jhonny also reminded the importance of safety standards in school areas. According to him, vehicle crossings at schools are often ignored, so government intervention is needed to ensure that signs and rules are enforced more strictly.
"This incident must be a lesson. When entering the school area, drivers must be extra careful. Rambu-mums at school must be given special authority because many similar incidents, cars or motorbikes are still speeding in front of the school. The school area should be a place that is really carefully guarded," he said.
In addition, he highlighted the importance of the readiness of all officers in the MGB program. Not only related to food services, but also the competence and readiness of operational crews including drivers.
"My advice is that all MGB officers must be carefully prepared. They serve children, so from cooking officers, packers, to drivers must be really competent. If the main driver is sick, the replacement must be clear and ready. Don't just point out," he explained.
It is known that a MBG transport car with police number B 2093 UIU crashed into a number of students who were in a ceremony at the Kalibaru 01 SDN sports field, Cilincing District, North Jakarta, Thursday morning.
