Mataram Receives Additional Hajj Quota 278 People

MATARAM - Mataram City Ministry of Religion Office, West Nusa Tenggara Province, said Mataram City received an additional quota of 278 prospective pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj season.

"With this addition, the quota for Mataram City Hajj candidates for 2026 is 868 people out of the initial quota of 590 people," said Head of the Hajj and Umrah Section (PHU) of the Mataram City Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Kasmi in Mataram, Antara, Friday, December 12.

He said that of the 278 additional quotas, 14 quotas were given to prospective pilgrims from the elderly (elderly). Mataram City also received a reserve quota of 338 people who have now also been asked to carry out the preparation stage process.

"Making passports, health checks, and other administrations," he said.

Based on the latest data on Thursday, of the 868 prospective pilgrims from Mataram City, there were 720 people who had conducted health checks. There were 101 prospective pilgrims who had completed their medical examinations and were declared istitated, while 101 people who had paid for the Hajj Travel Fee (Bipih).

The amount of Bipih that must be paid by prospective hajj candidates for the Lombok Embarkation is IDR 54,951,822, while the deadline for paying Bipih is the first phase on December 23, 2025.

"For payment, the pilgrims in the reserve quota can also do it after the istitiah statement," he said.

This is intended, when there are prospective hajj candidates who are unable to leave and cause failure due to various things, such as death, illness, or unable to pay Bipih, the candidates in the reserve quota can immediately replace them.

He explained that these conditions had been submitted to prospective pilgrims for reserve quota so that they would not be disappointed when they could not go for Hajj in the 2026 Hajj season.

"We have also made a statement so that they do not sue. But if the reserve pilgrims cannot depart in 2026, they will become priority pilgrims departing in 2027," he said.
