Make An Agreement With OpenAI, Disney Allows Its Assets To Be Used For AI Sora
JAKARTA Disney and OpenAI have made important agreements that include content licensing. In this agreement, Disney will be a partner for OpenAI's Sora, the video maker of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This means that Sora can take advantage of more than 200 characters, costumes, properties, and the environment from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars. Sora users can use these assets to create AI videos that can be shared freely.
They can make videos featuring characters such as Mickey Mouse, Ariel, Baymax, Darth Marijuana, Iron Man, and more. Apart from Sora, this licensing agreement also includes ChatGPT Images which can produce images through prompts.
These images will also take advantage of the same intellectual property (IP). Although allowed to use Disney assets, this deal does not include the use of votes from actors. This agreement prioritizes the use of responsible AI.

Disney will also receive a warrant to buy additional equity. This transaction still relies on negotiations of the definitive agreement and the necessary approval.
