Contraflow Not Applicable On Bocimi Toll Road During Nataru Holiday, This Is The Reason

BOGOR - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) revealed that traffic engineering on the Bogor 'Ciawi' Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays (Nataru 2025/2026) will not use the contraflow system.

This is because there are still some infrastructure works on the Bocimi Toll Road which are estimated to be unfinished until the period in question.

"Especially for the Bocimi Toll Road in Nataru 2025/2026, a contraflow scenario will not be applied, but a traffic management will be implemented between the Parungkuda Toll Gate (GT) combined with GT Cigombong to maintain smooth flow," said Head of BPJT of the Ministry of Public Works Wilan Oktavian in his statement at the 2025 Bocimi Tolls Nataru Security Preparation press conference, Thursday, December 11.

The reason Bocimi Toll Road does not apply contraflow is because there are still infrastructure work and congestion conditions that occur outside toll roads.

"Currently, there is work on adding the B KM 43-46 lane which cannot be utilized during Nataru 2025/2026, so traffic engineering must continue to prioritize the safety and capacity of available lanes," he explained.

Therefore, his party will manipulate traffic by implementing situational implementation, which if the traffic around the Parungkuda Toll Gate is jammed, his party will carry out engineering by diverting traffic to GT Cigombong towards Sukabumi.

In addition, BPJT will also impose restrictions on goods vehicles for mining, excavation, and building materials which will be fully valid 24 hours on 19, 20, 24, 28, 29, December 2025 and January 4, 2026.
