New Proposal For Ukraine Peace From European Allies Will Be Submitted To Trump

JAKARTA - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Ukrana and European allies were preparing a new peace proposal to address territorial issues, and would be discussed with the United States by the weekend.

In a press conference in Berlin, Merz revealed he, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed the new peace proposal with US President Donald Trump by phone call on Wednesday.

"The main problem here is what territorial concessions Ukraine is ready to give. However, this is a question that must be answered, especially by the president and the people of Ukraine, as we have also explained to President Trump," Merz said as quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Thursday, December 11.

"And if we now continue this process as we planned, there will be talks with the US over the weekend and then, maybe there will be a meeting in Berlin at the beginning of next week. Whether the US will participate or not, it really depends on compiling joint documents," he continued.
