Commission X Of The House Of Representatives Asks The Government To Evaluate The MBG SOP After The SPPG Car Hits Elementary School Students In Jakut
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI, Then Hadrian Irfani asked the government to immediately evaluate the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program, especially related to standard operating procedures (SOP) to the competence of distribution officers by the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).
Hal itu disampaikan Lalu menanggapi incident mobil pengangkut menu MBG yang 'nyelong' masuk ke sekolah SDN Kalibaru 01 Pagi, Jakarta Utara (Jakut), dan menabrak puluhan siswa serta guru pada Kamis, pagi.
"I encourage evaluation of the mechanism for implementing the MBG program, especially related to operational standards, supervision, and the competence of distribution officers," Lalu told reporters, Thursday, December 11.
Then emphasized that programs as large and important as MBG should not run without extra supervision from the government. According to him, a really mature supervision is needed to ensure the safety of the students.
"This program is as big and important as it should not run without ensuring maximum safety for students," said the PKB legislator from the NTB II electoral district.
Then also expressed deep concern to all students and teachers who were victims of the incident. He reminded that the safety of children and teachers in the school environment is a priority that cannot be negotiated.
According to him, this incident should be a serious concern for all parties, both the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and other relevant ministries/agencies.
"We ask for a transparent and thorough investigation to make it clear whether there are negligence or violations of procedures in the distribution process," said Lalu.

Then also urged the government and related parties to take full responsibility for the incident. He assessed that system improvements must be taken seriously so that similar incidents do not happen again in the future.
"We ask the government and related parties to be responsible and immediately improve the system so that similar incidents do not happen again in any school," he concluded.
It is known that the MBG menu delivery car hit dozens of students and a teacher when they came into the schoolyard at SDN Kalibaru 01 Pagi, North Jakarta (Jakut). The accident occurred at around 06.30 WIB this morning when the students were standing in the field.
The car driver has been secured and admitted that he stepped on the pedal until the car entered the school area and hit the fence until the students and teachers at the location. A total of 20 people were injured as a result of the incident, 19 of whom are still being treated in two different hospitals.
