Profile Ardito Wijaya: Former Health Center Doctor Who Is Now Arrested By The KPK

YOGYAKARTA Profile Ardito Wijaya received attention from the public after he was caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) held by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya's OTT is suspected of being related to project bribery.

Ardito Wijaya was born in Bandar Jaya on January 23, 1980. Most of his youth was spent in Lampung. It is evident from his history of education from elementary to middle level he took in Lampung. He is known to have studied middle and high school at Terbanggi Besar State 1 School. Ardito just moved out of town after he continued his studies at Trisakti University majoring in medicine and graduated in 2005.

Before entering politics. Ardito Wijaya is known as a doctor. In fact, he had practiced being a doctor for several years.

Reporting from the official website of the Central Lampung Regency Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID), Ardito Wijaya was a young doctor at the Seputih Health Center in Surabaya from 2010 to 2011. After that he moved to become a young doctor at the Rumbia Health Center from 2011 to 2012. In 2014 Ardito became the Head of P2PL of the Central Lampung Health Office until 2016.

It should be noted that Ardito is the son of a senior PDI-P politician, namely Ahmad Pairin. His father had already entered politics and succeeded in serving as Regent of Central Lampung for the 2010 '2015 period. In addition, he was also the Mayor of Metro for the 2016'2021 period.

As the son of a politician, Ardito has been interested in the political world for a long time. This is evident from his participation in the Indonesian Renewal Youth Organization (APMI), a youth organization under the flag of the Golkar Party. Ardito even sat on the chair of the APMI Lampung Province for the 2017-2022 period.

In the midst of his closeness to the Golkar Party, in 2019 Ardito decided to run in the Lampung Regent Election as deputy regent. He was paired with Musa Ahmad. From this nomination, the pair Musa Ahmad and Ardito Wijaya finally managed to win and rule in Central Lampung Regency for the 2019-2024 period.

Even though he is close to the Golkar Party, Ardito apparently cannot forget his background as Nahdliyin. In fact, he decided to register as a cadre of the National Awakening Party (PKB). He even sat on the chair of the Chairman of the Central Lampung PKB Branch (2022-2024).

Unfortunately, Ardito's participation in PKB did not last long. Ardito decided to move the party to PDIP because the plan to nominate himself as Regent was not approved by PKB. Finally, he moved and ran for the 2024 Central Lampung Pilkada with the PDIP support party.

The nomination succeeded in bringing Ardito as Regent of Central Lampung for the period 2025'30. Unfortunately he was caught OTT KPK on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
