Blibli Strengthens Supply Chains Through Integrated Technology-Based Marunda Warehouse

BEKASI - PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk (BELI) has expanded its logistics network by starting to operate a Marunda Warehouse covering an area of 100,000 square meters since October 2024.

This new facility is claimed to strengthen the company's smart logistics and supply chain management, including supporting the fulfillment of the Fulfillment At Speed (FAS) order.

The Marunda warehouse complements Blibli's logistics infrastructure which now includes 13 warehouses and 19 distribution centers in various regions.

The company says the facility is designed to increase orders processing speed, operational efficiency, and real-time inventory visibility for sellers.

Blibli implemented a number of automation systems in inventory management using the First In, First Out (FIFO) and First Expired, First Out (FEFO) methods.

The 'outbound' process is said to be four times faster than the generally standard fulfillment of orders.

In addition to increasing efficiency, the system is claimed to provide stock data accuracy and make it easier for sellers to manage businesses more accurately, especially when there is a surge in demand.

The Marunda Warehouse also pocketed ISO 27001 certification for information security and the Halal Security System (HAS 23000) from the BPJPH of the Ministry of Religion.

With this certification, warehouse operations apply halal product curation, periodic audits, and packaging with special hygiene standards.

Environmentally Friendly Facilities

This facility is built with the concept of green building, ranging from the use of environmentally friendly materials, utilization of natural light, rainwater reservoirs, to operational waste management. Marunda warehouse also supports the Green Delivery Blibli initiative, which prioritizes the use of electric vehicles for fast delivery within a 10-kilometer radius.

"Gugang Marunda is a strategic investment to strengthen the foundations of the national supply chain and bring a more reliable fulfillment network, especially during peak periods such as Harbolnas 12.12," said Group Head of Supply Chain Blibli Bayu Sudjono to reporters, Wednesday, December 10.

As part of the warehouse's operational integral, FAS utilizes the modern Marunda Warehouse infrastructure to strengthen the speed and accuracy of order processing.

"With the automation and integration of smart systems, we ensure the speed and operational reliability that have a direct impact on brand performance," said Alvin Hadibowo, Director of FAS.

FAS, a 14-year B2B2C service, utilizes AI-based warehousing networks and machine learning for inventory management, offline online distribution, marketplace integration, to customer marketing and service support.

According to Alvin, integration with the Marunda Warehouse resulted in increased performance in three main areas:

First, order growth, especially the beauty category, increased by 145 percent in five months.

Second, the FMCG fulfillment time is 70 percent faster, and finally the order cancellation rate is down 35 percent.

Blibli assessed that the existence of the Marunda Warehouse would strengthen the omnichannel ecosystem and increase the resilience of the national supply chain.

With integrated infrastructure, companies are optimistic that brand and seller partners can conduct business scaling with more confidence, especially facing increasing demand.
