Russia Prioritizes Sustainable Peace In Ukraine Instead Of Ceasefire
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at Wednesday's press conference Russia prioritized lasting and sustainable peace in Ukraine rather than a ceasefire.
This was conveyed by Peskov commenting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement about Kyiv's readiness to establish an "energy ceasefire."
"We are working on peace, not a ceasefire," Peskov told TASS (10/12).
"The continuous, lasting and lasting peace achieved through the signing of documents on this issue is an absolute priority," added Peskov.
Earlier, President Zelensky said Ukraine was working on a proposal for an energy ceasefire with Russia, and made it clear he expects Moscow to implement the mechanism.
Meanwhile, Kyiv appears to have forgotten the moratorium on attacks on Russia's own energy facilities in the spring.
