Freezeping Home Building Permits In Greater Bandung Will Hinder FLPP Distribution? This Is What BP Tapera Said

JAKARTA - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi alias KDM has frozen the housing construction permit in the Greater Bandung area, West Java.

This is stated in Circular Number: 177/pur.06.02.03/disperkim concerning Temporary Termination of Housing Permits in the Greater Bandung Region.

The Circular issued on Saturday, December 6, 2025, was addressed to the Regent of Bandung, West Bandung Regent, Sumedang Regent, Bandung Mayor and Cimahi Mayor.

"Mitigation is needed to be carried out to overcome further disasters and/or repeated through the following steps," reads the Circular.

So, will it affect the distribution of subsidized houses as targeted by the government?

Related to this, the People's Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera) as the distributor of subsidized houses said that there was no effect to date.

This was conveyed by BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho to reporters when met at the Ministry of Law's office, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 10.

"Until now, our progress has remained good. It still shows an increasing trend of positive realization. As of today, 245,000 subsidies have been distributed)," said Heru.

According to Heru, until now there has been no effect from the suspension of housing development permits by the KDM. Moreover, according to him, West Java is one of the provinces with the most absorption of quotas for Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (FLPP) at this time.

"We haven't seen the extent, yes (the impact). It's called a subsidized house, right, it's the end of the year the realization is quite good. West Java is the highest (in absorption). There is no problem," he concluded.
