Prepare The Rules, Starting Next Year This Community Group Can't Consume Elpiji 3 Kg

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is preparing regulations for the distribution of subsidized 3 kilograms of liquefied petroleum gas (elpiji). Later the legal umbrella will be in the form of a Presidential Regulation (Perpres).

The Director General of Oil and Gas for Earth, Laode Suleman, said that his party is currently working on the new regulation so that the distribution of LPG is more targeted.

"Currently we are trying to complete the draft Presidential Decree regarding LPG," said Laode to the media crew, Wednesday, December 10.

According to Laode, this rule was made because so far there have been no provisions regarding the integrated distribution of LPG from upstream to downstream. Thus, there are still many people who can consume 3 kg LPG. Later in this new regulation there will also be regulations related to the sale of 3 kg LPG by the sub base.

"If the previous rule has not yet reached the sub base. Now, we will arrange it later," added Laode.

Lebih lanjut Laode juga menyebut, aturan ini penting untuk diberlakukan karena kuota LPG untuk tahun 2026 tidak sebesar tahun 2025. Sebelumnya, pada tahun 2025, kuota LPG ditetapkan di atas 8 juta metric ton (MT) sementara pada tahun 2026 hanya ditetapkan sebesar 8 juta KL.

"Next year we will also see that the quota is not as big as if we look at this year's more than 8 million. Next year it will only be 8 million. So this causes us to innovate," explained Laode.

Tak hanya itu, lanjut laode, aturan ini juga akan membatasi kelompok mana saja yang berhak membeli LPG 3 kg berdasarkan kelompok desilnya.

"If the one that is already high is 8, 9, 10, maybe this is what we arrange so that there is a kind of gap there," said Laode.
