Komdigi Echoes Principles 'Wait For Children To Be Ready' To Parents Through PP TUNAS
JAKARTA - The Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, has placed Indonesia as a pioneer in encouraging higher digital security standards for children globally, through the implementation of PP TUNAS.
According to him, Government Regulation (PP) Number 17 of 2025 concerning Child Protection in the Digital Room is not here to hinder progress, but as a form of state concern for the future of the nation's children.
Therefore, Meutya invites all levels of society, especially parents, to adopt the principle of 'Wait for Children to Ready' before introducing children to the digital world.
Our main message is simple but crucial: Wait for the child to be ready, Tunas. Make sure the child is really ready, both age, mental maturity, and adequate assistance before they enter the digital world," Meutya said in an official broadcast quoted Wednesday, December 10.
He emphasized that the success of implementing this regulation really depends on collective work. Child protection cannot only be borne by the government, but requires the active role of parents, teachers, schools, and the entire community to move together.
The phrase 'Wait for the Child to be Ready' is not just a slogan, but a core philosophy that emphasizes the readiness of children's holistics before being exposed to the digital world.
