Five Days Of Search, Victims Jumping From KMP Dorothy Hasn't Been Found
The joint SAR team is still searching for a passenger of KMP Dorothy who jumped into the sea in the waters of Sangiang Island, Bakauheni District, South Lampung Regency, to no avail.
Head of the Bakauheni SAR Post, Rezie Kuswara, said the victim named Dimas Ade Setiawan (25), a resident of Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Jambi jumped while crossing to Merak Port on Friday (5/12).
"The search process until the fifth day has not been found or nothing, but the joint SAR team is still trying to find victims," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 9.
According to him, the team has also expanded the search to the Sundanese strait and the Mount Anak Krakatau area, as well as combed along the coast in South Lampung.
Based on information from eyewitnesses at the scene, the victim fell after KMP Dorothy made a voyage from Bakauheni Port to Merak Banten.
According to him, the victim's characteristics were wearing a gray long cloth jacket and black trousers.
At around 11:15 WIB, one person fell off Dorothy's KMP ship, based on information from eyewitnesses that she saw the victim jumping into the sea, and immediately reported the incident to the South Lampung Police Airud, and Airud Police forwarded the information to Kansar Lampung," he said.
