Prabowo Apresiasi Pakistan Sambut Khusus Dengan Jet Tempur JF-17
JAKARTA - Presiden Prabowo Subianto mengapresiasi pemerintah Pakistan yang memberikan pengambutan secara khusus dengan pengawasan enam unit jet tempur JF-17 milik Angkatan Air Pakistan, saat Prabowo memasuki wilayah udara negara tersebut.
In a joint statement (joint statement) at the official residence of the prime minister (PM House) in Islamabad, President Prabowo expressed his highest respect through Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif for the warm welcome.
"I would like to express my highest gratitude, appreciation, and respect for you, the government, and the people of Pakistan, through the warm welcome you have given me," Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 9.
Prabowo considers the escort of the JF-17 fighter jet pilots an extraordinary honor for him.
Moreover, Prabowo was also greeted directly by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, upon arrival at Nur Khan Base Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan, Monday (8/12) afternoon.
"Even before I landed on Pakistani soil, I was greeted in the air, escorted by your honorable Air Force pilots on your JF-17 Thunder plane. It was an extraordinary honor for me," Prabowo said.
The same thing was conveyed by PM Sharif who enthusiastically welcomed President Prabowo, especially because this visit was a personal initiation from Prabowo.
"Welcome to Pakistan. My brother, Mr. President, is delighted to welcome you once again on behalf of the Pakistani people, my government, and myself, on your personal desire to visit Pakistan, your second home," said Sharif.

Sharif also responded to the President's statement regarding the escort of the fighter jet belonging to the Pakistan Air Force.
According to Sharif, the remarks were not routine procedures, but the government's way of welcoming President Prabowo as the leader of the world's largest Muslim country.
Sharif revealed that President Prabowo's visit to Islamabad, Pakistan was a long pause after seven years ago by the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.
"The welcome comes from the bottom of our deepest hearts, for a leader who is very capable and dynamic from the world's largest Muslim country, will visit Pakistan after seven years. We should have done more than we have done to welcome you and your extraordinary delegation," Sharif said.
