Kiai Nyai Muda NU Urges Internal Reconciliation Through Open Deliberation
JAKARTA - The Kiai Nyai Muda Nahdlatul Ulama Forum (FKNM NU) urges the importance of resolving organizational or reconciliation problems in an open deliberation so that NU remains on the rules and solemnity of society.
FKNM NU assesses that the dynamics of the NU Executive Board (PBNU) recently need a clear response and measurable steps, so as not to interfere with the work of the congregation in the regions. The deliberation is considered to be a NU tradition that not only reduces conflicts, but also ensures that the settlement runs according to the mandate of the congress.
"NU needs a quiet space. Internal conflicts must be resolved through deliberation. Our voices may be thin, but they become part of the ink of NU civilization," said FKNM NU Coordinator and Caretaker of Ponpes al-Aziz Lasem Nyai Fatimah Asri Mutmainah, quoted by Antara, Tuesday 9 December.
He emphasized that so far the kiai and nyai were young and did not have room to express their aspirations, so this forum became an official forum to speak up.
A number of pesantren caregivers who joined this forum included KH Ahmed Shoim El Amin (PP Ihya Ulumaddin, Cilacap), Agus H. Ahmad Kafabihi Mahrus (PP Lirboyo, Kediri), KH Faiz Makki (PP Nurul Jadid, Paiton), as well as young nyai such as Dr. Hj. Iffatul Umniati Ismail (Sampang) and Dr. Hj. Maya Fitria (PP Krapyak, Yogyakarta).
FKNM NU member from Jakarta Dr. KH. Rifqi Muhammad Fatkhi said that the upcoming congress should be used as a momentum for rearranging Jamiyah governance.
"The congress must be a space for improvement and improvement of governance. Management at all levels is also obliged to maintain NU's disappointment," he said.
FKNM NU hopes that all parties will refrain from actions that make the atmosphere worse and encourage NU residents to participate in praying for the leaders of the congregation to be given wisdom in making the best decisions for NU.

The Forum states that it is ready to support the steps that enforce the rules and strengthen the organizational structure.
"This attitude was taken solely to care for the congregation. NU must continue to be solemn to the people and nation," said Nyai Fatimah.
