Mitsubishi Destination Lands In Vietnam At A Long Price Different From Indonesia

The Mitsubishi Destination will be officially sold in Vietnam starting in early December 2025 through the Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam (MMV) distributor. The 7-passenger SUV is supplied from a production facility in Indonesia.

Destinations are planned to be marketed in around 70 global countries, including ASEAN, South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. In Indonesia, the Destination launched in July 2025.

The car immediately received a positive note by winning 12.000 orders within four months, exceeding the annual target of 10,000 units from Mitsubishi. Then last November, the Destination also launched in the Philippines.

Now, the Destination is also present in Vietnam, which is an important market for the expansion of the Destination in Southeast Asia. General Director of Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Tomoki Yanagawa, said that before the Destinations arrived in recent years, Xpander and XForce had received widespread recognition from customers.

"With the newest Destination, which combines the strength of the SUV with the convenience of the MPV, we really hope this model will be a loyal friend to the family in Vietnam, providing comfort and adventure for everyone on the way," he said, quoted from the official Mitsubishi Motors website, Tuesday, December 9.

The first shipment of the Destination unit for the Vietnamese market arrived earlier and was supplied from a production facility in Indonesia. Judging from the official Mitsubishi Vietnam website, the destination is sold at a price starting at 780 million VND or equivalent to Rp493.9 million.

This means that it is more expensive than the Indonesian market which provides GLS type at a price of Rp395 million. Meanwhile, the Ultimate variant is priced at 800 million VND, or equivalent to Rp506 million, in Indonesia alone the Ultimate variant is sold for Rp475 million and the Ultimate Premium is Rp505 million.

The specifications in Indonesia and Vietnam are still the same. The destination relies on a four-cylinder 1,500cc turbo gasoline engine adopted from the Eclipse Cross. The dual injection of the digit can eject 163 PS and 250 Nm of torque.

The global market Destination is equipped with a standard four-airbag feature, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for front and rear passengers, Pedestrian Protection (PP) and ISOFIX for child safety seats in all its variants.
