DKI Transportation Agency Trials One-way System In Lebak Bulus Starting Tuesday Morning

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has started testing the engineering of one-way system traffic in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, for one week. This trial was carried out to unravel the density of vehicles that often occur during rush hour in the morning, Tuesday 9 December.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the one-way system was limited to two roads, namely Jalan Lebak Bulus II and Lebak Bulus III. The trial period lasts for a week.

"The plan to implement a traffic trial for the implementation of the one-way system (SSA) on Jalan Lebak Bulus II and Lebak Bulus III starting on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, until Tuesday, December 16, 2025," said Syafrin in his statement, Tuesday, December 9.

The trial is carried out every working day, Monday 'Friday, at 06.00' 10.00 WIB. Syafrin said the time limit was imposed because the hour was a period of vehicle volume spike.

In this traffic engineering, the speed of vehicles on Jalan Lebak Bulus II, which was originally one direction at 06.00-10.00 WIB from the intersection segment of Jalan Lebak Bulus IV to the Fatmawati intersection, became one direction from the intersection segment of Jalan Lebak Bulus IV to the Hajj Nasiin intersection.

The Lebak Bulus III Road section will also follow a new pattern. The Lebak Bulus III road traffic starts from the intersection of Fatmawati Street to the Lebak Bulus IV intersection, which was originally two-way to one east to the west.

In addition, changes in the current will also be applied to other parts of Lebak Bulus II Street. Traffic on Lebak Bulus II Street starts from the intersection of Lebak Bulus V Street to Lebak Bulus I Street one direction from east to west.

Meanwhile, the other two sections around the area are still two directions. "The traffic on Jalan Lebak Bulus IV is from the north/south two directions. The traffic on Jalan Lebak Bulus III is from the East/West two directions," he explained.

Furthermore, road users who will move from Lebak Bulus II to Lebak Bulus III are diverted through the prepared route. Vehicles can pass through RS Street. Fatmawati turned around in front of One Belpark-Lebak Bulus III Street.

"We are advised road users to adjust the traffic arrangements set, obey traffic signs, instructions from officers in the field and prioritize road safety," said Syafrin.
