Ready To Relax KUR Disaster Victims, Minister Of MSMEs Will Group Victims And Meet Banks

JAKARTA - Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Maman Abdurrahman confirmed that he would provide relaxation and even exemption from people's business loans (KUR) for MSME entrepreneurs who are victims of flash floods and land disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.

As a first step, Maman admitted that he would group the disaster victims of MSMEs based on the impact, namely permanent and semi-permanent.

"Later it will be mapped. It will be divided into three zones. The affected are permanently affected, there are several who are affected semi-permanently," Maman told the media crew when met in Jakarta, Monday, December 8.

He gave an example, the MSMEs who were permanently affected were MSME actors who lost their homes and businesses due to being swept away by flash floods and buried under the land of the Lansor so that their efforts could not be saved at all.

"Yes, because we really can't. This house is destroyed, the place of business is destroyed. Well, we have to think about this," said Maman.

Maman continued, while formulating further steps, his party is still waiting for the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) to carry out comprehensive disaster management in Aceh, West Sumatra and West Sumatra.

"If we go into economic recovery. So post-disaster management. We are more involved in economic recovery. Now we are talking about this again. The President has also said that he will release KUR," explained Maman.

Maman also said that he could not confirm the value of the KUR debt to be deleted and the number of MSME entrepreneurs whose debts were removed given the condition of the field that had not been possible to be recorded.

"We also don't know yet. The number of victims has continued to grow until now. From the number to increase, it has increased again," continued Maman.

For this reason, Maman also ensured that he would hold meetings with KUR channeling banks to carry out a comprehensive mapping of affected MSMEs.

"It's been started today (meetings). It's started. So then we'll do this right," said Maman.
