Pertamina Serves Fuel Needs In Aceh Tamiang With Manual Pumps
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra (Sumbagut) reported that 6 of the gas stations in Aceh Tamiang Regency could not operate because they were submerged in mud. Just so you know, based on data from the Aceh Provincial Government, 18 of the 23 districts/cities affected by floods and landslides, where Aceh Tamiang Regency became the area with the heaviest damage.
Sales Area Manager Retail Aceh, Misbah Bukhori, said, to ensure that people continue to receive energy services, Pertamina carried out an emergency service scheme by operating manual pump machines at gas stations 14,244,430, Pangkalan Village, Kejuruan Muda District, Aceh Tamiang.
Pertamina distributed 80 drums of Pertalite type fuel, which are supplied using a tank car with a capacity of 16 KL. A total of 10 units of manual canting were used to distribute fuel from drums to consumers with official measuring instruments.
He said, since December 4, 2025, Pertamina together with gas station employees, the National Police, and volunteers have sought to accelerate manual services to serve the needs of the community.
The queue is inevitable because the fuel from the tanker must first be loaded into the drum. From the drum, fuel is channeled to consumers with manual pumps equipped with official measuring instruments. All personnel are deployed, and the public understands this emergency condition. Services continue to run smoothly even though they are carried out manually, "explained Misbah, Monday, December 8.
Meanwhile, the Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw, said that Pertamina also carried out a gradual cleaning of gas stations affected by mud to support the acceleration of operational recovery.
"Cleaning is carried out to ensure the security of service areas, including ensuring that electricity flows are in a inactive condition so that there is no risk of a short circuit. This effort is carried out with Hiswana Migas and various related parties," said Fahrougi.
