Pramono Incar Jakarta Ranked Top 50 In Global City, Sport Tourism Becomes Mainstay
When attending the Indonesia Sports Summit 2025 Main Forum which took place at the Indonesia Arena Senayan, Central Jakarta, this Saturday, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung targets the City of Jakarta to be included in the "Top 50 Global Cities" ranks by 2030 and Top 20 in 2045.
"A number of indicators for improving the quality of the city have been seen, including the increase in Jakarta's ranking from 74 to 71 in the Global City Index in 2025," Pramono said, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, December 6.
According to him, the sports ecosystem and wellness (holistic health) are placed as strategic sectors in urban development.
"The sport tourism sector in Jakarta shows rapid growth and is now an attraction for tourists and investors," he said.

In addition, the development of the sport "lifestyle economy" which is a global trend is considered to open up great economic opportunities for the community.
"Sports are now no longer just a match, but identities, lifestyles, and industries worth trillions of rupiah," he said.
Pramono also highlighted the increase in sports activities in Jakarta as reflected in the rampant implementation of activities such as marathons, e-sports, martial arts, futsal, and basketball that regularly meet the city's activity calendar.
"This shows Jakarta as a city with dynamic sports activities," he said.
