Immigration Banda Aceh Deportation Of Malaysian Citizens Violation Of Stay Permits

ACEH - The Class I Immigration Office of the Banda Aceh Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) deported a Malaysian citizen for violating a residence permit in Indonesia.

Head of the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Banda Aceh Gindo Ginting in Banda Aceh, Saturday, said the deportation was carried out through Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport, Blangstar, Aceh Besar District on Saturday (6/12).

"The Malaysian citizen was deported for violating the residence permit. The person concerned is overstaying or living in Indonesia exceeding the permit since 2001," he said.

The Malaysian citizen has the initials MY (28). MY violated Article 78 Paragraph (3) of Law Number 6 Year 2011 concerning immigration. MY stay permit in Indonesia ended in 2001

"The deportation was directly monitored by the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Section team of the Banda Aceh Immigration Office from the time it was taken from the immigration detention room to the departure process," he said.

The Malaysian citizen was flown by commercial aircraft. The entire deportation process went smoothly and there were no problems, said Gindo Ginting.

Gindo Ginting emphasized that deportation is part of law enforcement which is an Immigration commitment in maintaining security and order in Indonesian territory.

"The action against MY is proof of Banda Aceh's firm commitment to maintaining state sovereignty, especially from violating residence permits," said Gindo Ginting.

"The Banda Aceh Immigration will continue to strengthen the supervision of foreigners in a sustainable manner. We will not tolerate any foreign nationals who misuse residence permits and applicable regulations," said Gindo Ginting.

He added that every immigration violation was dealt with in accordance with applicable legal provisions. This deportation is part of our commitment to maintaining state order and security.

"We continue to improve surveillance measures, both preventive and repressive, to ensure that every foreigner complies with applicable regulations," said Gindo Ginting.
