New Generation BYD Seal 06 EVs Have Greater And Powered Dimensions

JAKARTA BYD is again preparing an update for Seal 06 EV after the latest model registration file appears in China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The document shows a series of significant changes in dimensions, exterior views, to electric motor choices.

This new model has a dimension greater than the current generation. Its length has increased to 4,870 millimeters, a width of 1,890 millimeters, and a height of 1,495 millimeters, while the wheel axis distance remains at 2,820 millimeters.

The front display is also revised through minimalist grips, vertical airways on the bumper side, as well as bigger main lights. The back adopts full wideth lights with simpler designs.

Reporting from Carnewschina, Saturday, December 6, the most prominent changes are seen in the driving system. The new version of Seal 06 EV offers two electric motor options, namely 120 kilowatts and 240 kilowatts.

The maximum speed is at 170 kilometers per hour and 190 kilometers per hour, respectively. The battery remains using the lithium-iron-phosphate type like the previous generation.

In comparison, Seal 06 EV is currently equipped with a motor with a power of 110 to 160 kilowatts, as well as a peak speed of 160 to 180 kilometers per hour. The model stands on the platform of e-Platform 3.0 Evo with a distance of 470 to 545 kilometers based on CLTC tests.

Registration files have not disclosed changes to the interior or details of battery capacity and official reach. However, the increase in the size of the body and larger power indicates BYD's move to strengthen the Seal 06 EV position in the medium-electric sedan segment.
