Agam Regency Government Holidays 93 Schools Affected By Natural Disasters
JAKARTA - The Agam Regency Government, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) has dismissed the teaching and learning process for students in 93 schools until December 22, 2025, due to natural disasters starting from floods, flash floods and tornadoes.
Acting Head of the Agam Education and Culture Office Andrinaldi in Lubuk Basung, Saturday, December 6, said the teaching and learning process was off until December 22, 2025, according to Circular Number: 300/1332/Disdikbud-2025 concerning Post-Disaster Learning Process.
"Education units affected by the holiday disaster until December 22, 2025 or the emergency response period. Meanwhile, education units that are not affected by natural disasters, the implementation of learning in schools begins on December 4, 2025," he said, quoted by Antara.
He said the 93 affected schools started from Kindergarten (TK), 22 PAUD units, 60 elementary schools (SD) and 15 junior high schools (SMP).
The 93 schools were spread across Palembayan, Tanjung Raya, Matur, Ampek Koto, Ampek Nagari, Tanjung Mutiara, Palupuh and Tilatang Kamang sub-districts.
"The 93 schools were affected by floods, flash floods, landslides and tornadoes," he said.
He admitted that previously there were 102 schools affected by natural disasters and 93 schools could not learn and teach teaching processes.
For the semester exam issue, his party has asked for instructions from the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen), Abdul Mu'ti during a visit to Agam.

From the Minister's statement, this depends on the local government that adjusts, because the regions know the conditions in the field.
"The minister gives authority to the regions, whether it is postponed or how technical it is implemented," he said.
