Jatake Station Targeted To Operate This Month
Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi targets Jatake Station, which is located in Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency, to operate this month. However, Dudy did not explain in more detail when exactly.
Dudy said the construction of the station building had been completed. Currently, he said, it is just a matter of waiting for the results of the trial.
"If the station construction is complete. Now we are in the process of testing the station. We hope that this December we can operate Jatake Station. Hopefully there will be no changes," he said in a media briefing in Jakarta, Friday, December 5.
For your information, the KAI collaboration station with the private sector, namely PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk, is said to not only add service points across Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung, but will become regional integration-based transportation.
In the scheme, Jatake Station will be directly connected to shopping centers. This concept provides ease of mobility while at the same time supporting the development of transit-oriented development (TOD)-based areas.
The construction of this station is carried out using a creative financing scheme, without dependence on the state budget (non-APBN). From the demand side, the existence of Jatake Station answers the community's need for an expansion of service capacity across Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung.
The volume of commuter line users on this line shows a consistent upward trend from year to year. In 2022, passenger volume reached 48,338,858 people, a significant increase to 64,899,516 people in 2023.
This trend continues in 2024, where the total volume reaches 73,296,200 users or a surge of almost 52 percent within two years. Entering 2025, only in the period January to March alone, the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung route has served 19,089,018 customers.
