West Pasaman Regent Ensures Search For 3 Longsor Victims Continued
West Pasaman Regent, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), Yulianto confirmed that the search for victims buried by landslides in Tinggam, Jorong Harapan, Nagari Sinuruik, Talamau District, continues.
"The search for three more victims continues to be carried out by a joint team starting from Basarnas, BPBD, Polri, TNI, PMI, volunteers and the community. The search was carried out using heavy excavator equipment and manually. Hopefully it can be found quickly," said Regent Yulianto at Simpang Empat, Friday, December 5.
In addition to seeing the search process, the regent greeted the affected residents and visited the public kitchen in Durian Batang Sinuruik.
"We are concerned about the conditions experienced by the residents. The most important thing is that the district government is always present to see the affected residents. We will see a public kitchen to ensure adequate logistics," he said.
His party also distributed logistical assistance to affected residents who were sent to the disaster response post, precisely at the Office of Wali Nagari Sinuruik and the Talamau Sub-district Office.
"We will continue to distribute aid. Hopefully, victims buried by landslides will be found quickly," he hoped
According to him, the search for victims will continue until the emergency response period ends on December 8.
"If until the end of the emergency response period the victim has not been found, it will be discussed with the family," he said.
Of the five victims buried by the landslide, only two people were found, namely Yelma Yunita (41) and Raffael Gusti Pratama (7), while Dian Fernanda (24), Amrizal (38), and Nurhayati (35) are still being searched.
The search for victims is the eighth day of search since the landslide occurred on Friday (28/11).
