Young Innovation Invites Young Generation To Take Action For The Environment On Commemoration Of Indonesian Tree Planting Day 2025

JAKARTA - In commemoration of the 2025 Indonesian Tree Planting Day, Young Innovation held an action to plant 500 marine cypress trees in SEZ Industropolis Batang. This activity involved 100 high school and vocational high school students throughout Batang Regency who participated actively in increasing environmental awareness and supporting the restoration of coastal ecosystems. This action is also a momentum to introduce the concept of green jobs to the younger generation as an initial provision towards a sustainable job sector.

This activity is part of a series of Indonesia Corporate Sustainability Awards (ICSA) to encourage real action of sustainability through the involvement of multi-stakeholders.

The event received full support from various parties, including the presence of the Regent of Batang, Faiz Kurniawan, SH, MH, and representatives of the Central Java regional government. This support reflects a shared commitment in strengthening the reforestation movement and maintaining the sustainability of the Batang coast.

On this occasion, students accepted the symbolic handover of sea cypress tree seedlings as a form of their active involvement in planting. The peak of the activity was marked by the planting of 500 sea cypress trees carried out together by participants, local governments, and various stakeholders. This planting aims to expand green space, reduce the risk of abrasion, and support the restoration of coastal ecosystems that are important for the sustainability of the environment.

Chairwoman of Young Innovation, Restu Andini, emphasized that this activity is the first step of ongoing efforts to move the younger generation.

"We hope that this action will not only serve as a ceremonial warning, but also inspire students to continue to engage in environmental movements. Strengthening capacity and understanding of green jobs is an important part of our commitment to prepare youth for future challenges," said Restu, in his statement, Friday. December 5th.

Through this activity, Young Innovation hopes that the reforestation movement can continue to develop and involve more parties, especially in maintaining coastal areas that are prone to climate change. This planting is expected to provide long-term benefits for the community and strengthen the green ecosystem in the Batang area.
