One Witness Refuses To Testify At Benur Bribery Trial, The Reason For This
JAKARTA - The Corruption Criminal Court again held a hearing on the alleged bribery of lobster seed export permits. There were eight witnesses present, however, one person declined to give details.
The witness was Achmad Syaihul Anam as Operational Staff at PT Agriminas and Salesman or Marketing at PT Kebung Rato - Durian Musangking.
He had refused to give information to Iis Rosita Dewi's personal staff, Ainul Faqih. The reason is, they're brothers.
"Does the witness mind giving his testimony at this trial?," asked Chief Justice Albertus Usada during a hearing at tipikor court on Tuesday, May 25.
"Objection to Ainul Faqih because it is still my brother (cousin)," replied Syaihul Anam.
Hearing the statement, the judge asked the prosecutor to explain the witness's connection to the case. The witness will be covered by his information about the flow of money in bni bank account belonging to the witness sent by Private Secretary Edhy Prabowo, Amiril Mukminin.
"Witnesses related to money went into the witness account of Amiril. BNI Bank Account," said the prosecutor.
Until finally, the judge took the decision to question syaihul Anam's willingness to give information. But with a record only with the involvement of Amiril Mukminin.
"Despite objections do you still give information without being sworn to Ainul Faqih?," asked the judge.
"May it be Your Majesty," said Shaihul Anam.
