2 Former Head Of Central Lombok Bapenda Detained, PPJ Incentive Corruption Loses Rp1.8 Billion To The State
CENTRAL LOMBOK - Central Lombok District Attorney (Kejari), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has detained three suspects in the alleged corruption case of road lighting tax payment incentives (PPJ) for the 2019 '2023 period.
The detention was carried out after investigators found an unlawful act in the distribution of these incentives.
"Today there are three suspects detained on suspicion of corruption in PPJ incentives in Central Lombok," said Head of the Central Lombok Kejari Putri Ayu Wulandari, Antara, Friday, December 5.
The three suspects each had the initials LK, the former Head of Central Lombok Bapenda for the 2019-2021 period; J, the former Head of Bapenda for the 2021 period; and LBS, the treasurer of Central Lombok Bapenda expenditure for the 2019-2021 period.
"The determination of the suspect is carried out based on the results of the examination and the evidence that has been received by investigators," said Putri.
From the results of the investigation, the Central Lombok Kejari found allegations of irregularities in the distribution of PPJ incentives that were not in accordance with regulations. As a result of this action, the state suffered a loss of around Rp. 1.8 billion.
Previously, the Head of the Special Crimes Section (Kasi Pidsus) of the Central Lombok Kejari, Bratha Hariputra, revealed that indications of unlawful acts had been found since the investigation stage. The findings were later strengthened by the opinion of criminal experts and the results of the prosecutor's internal exposure.
He explained that the distribution of PPJ incentives should be carried out based on the achievement of the tax target. The Central Lombok Regency PPJ target is recorded at IDR 1.4 billion per month, with an evaluation per quarter.

"Every quarter of the target is met, incentives are paid," he said.
In practice, the payment of incentives is suspected of not following these provisions and becomes the basis for determining the three officials as suspects.
