Need Infrastructure Investment Of IDR 10,303 T To Realize The Indonesian Economy Grows 8 Percent

JAKARTA - It takes investment in the infrastructure sector of IDR 10,303 trillion to achieve 8 percent economic growth as announced by President Prabowo Subianto.

This was conveyed by the Deputy for Basic Infrastructure Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development (IPK) Muhammad Rachmat Kaimuddin at the 2025 Regional Infrastructure Development Integrability Coordination Meeting (Rakorangwil) at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works (PU), Jakarta, Thursday, December 4.

Rachmat said the projected investment needs in infrastructure in the Red and White Cabinet had increased dramatically from the period of the Working Cabinet and the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet during the leadership of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"That in the first and second Pak Jokowi period, the actual increase in percentage is not much, but once the first Mr. Prabowo period, it was needed three times the infrastructure funding was needed," he said.

In addition, he highlighted the side of the need for private funding which has quadrupled compared to the previous period.

In the Red and White Cabinet period, the projected infrastructure investment needs totaled Rp. 10,303 trillion. This figure consists of Rp. 7,212 trillion in the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) and Rp. 3,091 trillion in private investment needs.

Meanwhile, during the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet period, the total investment achievement in infrastructure was IDR 3,307 trillion, consisting of IDR 2,561 trillion in the State Budget and IDR 746 trillion in the private sector.

Meanwhile, in the Working Cabinet period, the total investment achievement in infrastructure is IDR 2,896 trillion, consisting of IDR 2,400 trillion in the State Budget and IDR 495 trillion in the private sector.

"This is our homework which is certainly very, very heavy and we need to find new ways to finance infrastructure, because it is clear that we cannot only rely on the state budget," he explained.
