Liverpool Has Lost Aura, Now Looks More Vulnerable So They Are Not Feared
JAKARTA - Arne Slot said Liverpool had lost their unbeaten aura after the new 1-1 draw against Sunderland at Anfield on Thursday, December 4, 2025, early morning WIB.
Last season's Premier League champions fell behind with Chemsdine Talbi's goal in the second half before Florian Wirtz hit Nordi Mukiele and saved a point in stoppage time.
This result left Liverpool winless in their last three games at Anfield in all competitions, having lost to Nottingham Forest and PSV Eindhoven.
Not surprisingly, Arne Slot was immediately bombarded with questions about Anfield's stunting which seemed to be starting to fade.

"Of course it's not Anfield, but it's clear that the teams against us now think they can get results. That has been shown this season."
"Even in the matches we won, we have sparked confidence for other teams that there is something possible. So, the victory we won at the start of the season was also not easy," said Arne Slot after the match.
Arne Slot chose to back up Mohamed Salah for the second match in a row, but the Egyptian replaced Cody Gakpo in the first half.
"In my opinion, it's hard for Cody to dominate a one-on-one game. if you want to have a chance to score when they press high, you need a magical moment or a dead ball. It's hard to find that moment."
"In the first half, we played Dominik Szoboszlai on the right. I replaced him with Mo on the right and Wirtz on the left. We barely conceded (the opportunity), but it was difficult to create that magical moment," said the Dutchman.
This result put Liverpool in eighth place with 22 points from 14 games, 11 points behind leaders Arsenal, but only two points adrift of the top four in the Premier League.
The next match, Liverpool will travel to Leeds United headquarters on December 7, 2025, early morning WIB.
